MT5+ uses a telescopic pin-in-pin mechanism with an alpha-spring slider — anti-bump, anti-pick, and drill-resistant hardened-steel inserts. Patent runs through 2030+, so keys can only be cut at an authorized dealer against your signed authorization card. Fits standard 2-1/8 inch deadbolt prep — no door modification on most residential installs.
Medeco M3 combines elevated-and-rotated bottom pins with a hardened slider — the cylinder won't turn until the key both lifts the pins to the right height AND rotates them to the right angle.
